Intermittently, the EFI 30H may encounter an error indicating the carriage has reached its limit or emit an unpleasant screeching sound. Here, we outline the proper procedure for lubricating the lead screw:

Instructions for Lubricating the Lead Screw (Worm Drive) on the EFI 30H:

1. Begin by removing the front carriage cover.

2. Locate the lead screw positioned at the rear of the carriage assembly, typically situated behind the printheads.

3. Utilize the provided grease gun supplied by EFI.

4. With the carriage lowered to its lowest position, apply grease generously to the lead screw. It is unnecessary to manually distribute the grease, as the machinery will perform this function automatically.

5. Following the application of grease, navigate to the graphical user interface (GUI) on your printer's computer system. Instruct the carriage to move up and down approximately 3-5 times.

6. Upon completion of these steps, the carriage should be adequately lubricated, and any associated issues resolved.
